The competition includes a diverse range of designers, with seven focusing on womenswear, three on menswear, and six on genderless fashion. The LVMH Prize aims to support emerging designers by offering a grand prize of 400,000 euros and mentorship in various aspects
of fashion business management.
Why It's Important?

The inclusion of designers from new countries highlights the global nature of the fashion industry and LVMH's commitment to fostering diverse talent. This expansion can lead to increased cultural exchange and innovation within the fashion world. The prize has previously helped launch the careers of notable designers like Marine Serre and Simon Porte Jacquemus, indicating its potential impact on the future of fashion. The competition also emphasizes sustainable development and craftsmanship, aligning with broader industry trends towards sustainability.
What's Next?
The semifinalists will showcase their collections to a panel of experts and the public, who can vote for their favorite designs online from March 4 to 8. The competition will culminate in a ceremony later this year, where the winners will be announced. The grand prize winner will receive mentorship from LVMH teams, covering areas such as sustainable development and marketing. Additionally, the competition will award the Karl Lagerfeld Prize and the Savoir-Faire Prize, each offering financial support and mentorship.
