What's Happening?
Cummins is expanding its Forever Rising Tour, a traveling exhibition designed to showcase its latest heavy-duty engine platforms directly to customers. The tour, which began at the Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting, features five trucks
powered by the 2027 X15, X15N, and X10 engines. These engines represent a range of applications and specifications from multiple OEM partners. The tour allows customers to participate in Ride & Drive events and interactive exhibits to evaluate engine performance, drivability, and system integration across different duty cycles. The 2027 X15 engine, a central focus of the tour, offers improved fuel efficiency and up to 605 hp.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the Forever Rising Tour by Cummins is significant as it provides fleets with the opportunity to test engines in real-world conditions before making purchasing decisions. This hands-on experience is crucial for fleet operators to assess performance, drivability, and system integration, which can lead to more informed purchasing decisions. The tour also highlights Cummins' commitment to innovation in powertrain and connected technologies, which are essential for improving fleet uptime, maintenance planning, and overall efficiency. By showcasing these technologies, Cummins reinforces its position as a leader in the commercial vehicle engine market.
What's Next?
The Forever Rising Tour will continue to travel nationwide through May 2026, following strong engagement at the Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting. Cummins plans to showcase a range of powertrain and connected technologies during the tour, including aftertreatment systems, drivetrain components, and digital tools designed to support fleet management. The tour will also feature Meritor drivetrain and braking products, as well as the PowerHouse mobile display highlighting Cummins' broader engine portfolio and Accelera technologies. This ongoing engagement with customers is expected to strengthen Cummins' market position and drive future sales.
