for enhancing inventory visibility and supporting a low-cost operating model. Kmart began RFID tagging in 2021, using robots to track inventory in stores. The expansion aims to improve inventory integrity and on-shelf availability across more categories. The company is also modernizing its supply chain with IT system upgrades and a new automated fulfillment center in New South Wales, expected to be operational by FY28.
