What's Happening?
Jillian Hinton, a Gold Star spouse, has embarked on a journey of healing following the tragic death of her husband, Sgt. Terrence Hinton, in a training accident in 2017. Sgt. Hinton was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii
when the incident occurred. Jillian, left to raise their two children alone, faced immense grief and challenges. She found support through Dogs Inc, an organization providing service dogs to Gold Star families. Her daughter received a companion dog, Taylor, which helped her cope with anxiety and grief. Jillian later received her own service dog, Kylo, aiding her in overcoming anxiety and re-engaging with life.
