The Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) has released its 2026 All-State softball team selections, highlighting outstanding high school athletes across various classifications. The announcement includes the naming of players, hitters, pitchers, and coaches
of the year for each classification. The selections are made through the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) and the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA). Notable awards include Corey Goguts from Hewitt-Trussville as the Class 7A Player of the Year and Kate Flanagan from Vestavia Hills as the Pitcher of the Year. The ASWA will also announce the All-State baseball teams and other top honors, such as Mr. Baseball and Miss Softball, during their convention at Jacksonville State University.
