Starfish Space has successfully closed a Series B funding round exceeding $100 million, led by Point72 Ventures, with co-leads Activate Capital and Shield Capital. This funding round also saw participation from Industrious Ventures, NightDragon, and other
existing investors. The company, which previously raised $14 million in a Series A round three years ago, has since achieved significant milestones. These include a $37.5 million contract with the Department of Defense to build an Otter spacecraft, a partnership with Impulse Space for the Remora mission, and a $52.5 million contract with the Space Force to deorbit satellites. The Otter Pup 2 mission is currently in orbit, aiming to dock with a partner satellite. The new funding will support Starfish in fulfilling its existing contracts, scaling production of its Otter spacecraft, and expanding its workforce.
