ABL Group has been appointed as the marine warranty surveyor to support Subsea7 in the transportation and installation activities for the Mero 3 and Mero 4 offshore developments in Brazil's Santos basin.
The projects involve subsea risers, flowlines, and associated SURF infrastructure, with work already underway. ABL's responsibilities include technical review, suitability surveys, and oversight of critical operations. The Mero field is operated by Petrobras with partners including Shell and TotalEnergies. ABL has a history of supporting similar projects in Brazil, having been involved in over 14 FPSO transportation and installation campaigns since 2020.
