Jessica Campbell, the assistant coach for the Seattle Kraken, is set to explore new coaching opportunities within the National Hockey League (NHL) as her current contract expires. Campbell made history
by becoming the first full-time female assistant coach in the NHL to work behind the bench during the regular season. She joined the Kraken in July 2024 and previously served as the assistant coach for the Kraken's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Coachella Valley Firebirds, for two seasons. During her tenure, she helped the team reach the Calder Cup Final twice. The Kraken's Executive Vice President and General Manager, Jason Botterill, expressed support for Campbell's decision, acknowledging her significant contributions to the team and her ability to connect with and develop players.
