Chef René Redzepi, renowned for his Copenhagen restaurant Noma, is set to open a pop-up version in Los Angeles' Silver Lake from March 11 to June 26. The dining experience will cost $1,500 per person,
a price that includes drinks, taxes, and tips. This high cost is attributed to the expenses involved in bringing 130 staff members from Denmark to Los Angeles, covering their housing, transportation, and even their children's schooling. The pop-up will offer a limited seating of 42 guests per day, four days a week, with one table reserved each night for young professionals in the industry to dine for free. The restaurant will also feature a shop selling Noma's signature products and plans to collaborate with local chefs and provide mentorship to students from underserved communities.
