bound4blue, a wind propulsion company, has successfully installed two suction sails on a newbuild vessel for Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC). The installation took place at New Yangzi Shipbuilding in China, marking the first time these sails have
been manufactured locally. The MV Baltazar, equipped with the 24-metre eSAILs, is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026. This project is a significant step in utilizing wind power to enhance vessel efficiency, offering environmental, commercial, and regulatory benefits.
