Idunnu Tomori, a licensed therapist and CEO of Misayo House Jewelry, is spearheading an initiative to position Nigeria as a global hub for luxury production. Through her company, Maison T Consulting, Tomori is working
to connect U.S. luxury brands with Nigerian artisans. The 'Made In Nigeria' initiative seeks to utilize Nigeria's rich resources and skilled artisans to produce high-quality luxury goods. This project aims to create jobs, facilitate skills transfer, and build wealth within Nigeria. Tomori's efforts include collaborations with American brands and Nigerian artisans in various sectors such as textiles, leather, and beauty products. The initiative is set to launch its first products in the American market by March 2026, with plans to showcase them at major fashion events like New York Fashion Week.

The 'Made In Nigeria' initiative is set to launch its first products in the American market by March 2026. Tomori plans to have these products featured at New York Fashion Week and Atlanta Fashion Week later that year. The project involves five U.S. brands and ten Nigerian artisans, with a focus on high-quality production rather than mass production. The initiative also seeks government support for infrastructure improvements, such as reliable power supply, to enhance production capabilities in Nigeria.
