Flat2VR Studios has announced the release of Flatout 4 VR: Total Insanity in Early Access on Steam, set for April 23. This VR adaptation of the popular flatscreen racing game was revealed during the Spring 2026 VR Games Showcase. The project is part of Flat2VR's
Spark program, which connects VR modders with game developers to create official VR ports. The VR version was developed by Sergii Permiakov, known as 'Mutar,' who rebuilt the game from the ground up to support VR, including creating new interior models for the cars. The game offers a first-person perspective with full 6DOF controls, enhancing the immersive experience for players.
