What's Happening?
Under the leadership of new coach Vic Karapetian, the St. Monica Academy girls' basketball team has experienced a significant turnaround. The team, which previously struggled with a 1-26 league record over the past two years, now boasts a 15-3 overall record and a 10-1 record in the Heritage League. The team’s success is attributed to the contributions of a young roster, including standout performances from freshmen Mary Tomooka and Victoria Grigsby. Karapetian's coaching has revitalized the team, fostering a competitive spirit and improving their performance on the court.
Why It's Important?
The transformation of St. Monica Academy's basketball team highlights the impact of effective coaching and team dynamics in sports. This turnaround not only boosts the morale
of the players but also enhances the school's reputation in athletics.
