PCCW Media has announced the U.S. launch of 'The Season', a new limited series set in Hong Kong, scheduled for June 2026. Co-produced with SK Global, the studio behind 'Crazy Rich Asians', the series will stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S. The show
is described as a 'rich people behaving badly' thriller, reminiscent of 'White Lotus', and is set against the backdrop of Hong Kong's high society. The plot centers around the Hext family, a prominent old-money institution in Hong Kong, whose lives are disrupted by a newcomer with a hidden agenda. The series features a cast including Jessie Mei Li, Toby Stephens, and Karena Lam, and is created by Yalun Tu with Marialy Rivas directing.
