What's Happening?
Western Nevada College, in partnership with Skiing is Believing, is hosting a summer sports camp for children aged 8-14. The camp offers a variety of sports and fitness activities, including mountain biking, hiking, martial arts, and more. The program
aims to develop physical skills and promote emotional growth through exercise and community service. The camp will run in three sessions throughout June and July, providing a structured environment for children to engage in enriching activities under the guidance of experienced coaches.
Why It's Important?
The summer sports camp provides an opportunity for children to stay active and engaged during the summer months, promoting physical health and social development. By offering a diverse range of activities, the camp encourages children to explore new interests and build confidence. For parents, the camp offers a safe and structured environment for their children, with the added benefit of extended care hours. This initiative supports community well-being by fostering a culture of health and fitness among young participants.
