What's Happening?
Fulcrum Metals has signed an agreement with Test Design Implement Solutions (TDI) to deploy a pilot plant in Ontario, Canada, using cyanide-free leaching technology. The plant will process material from the Teck-Hughes Project and evaluate additional
mine waste materials. With a capacity of 2.4 tonnes per day, the plant aims to demonstrate a scalable recovery process for precious metals. This initiative is part of Fulcrum's strategy to commercialize mine waste recovery using environmentally friendly methods.
Why It's Important?
The deployment of this pilot plant represents a significant step towards sustainable mining practices, addressing environmental concerns associated with traditional cyanide-based leaching. By utilizing cyanide-free technology, Fulcrum Metals is positioning itself as a leader in eco-friendly mining solutions, potentially setting a new standard for the industry. This development could lead to broader adoption of green technologies in mining, reducing environmental impact and enhancing resource recovery.
