Pace University has initiated a new era for its 'Producing the Documentary' course, marking a 20-year retrospective under the leadership of Lou Guarneri, a Pace alum and current MCVA professor. This course, traditionally led by Dr. Maria Luskay until
her retirement, offers students hands-on experience in documentary filmmaking, covering everything from pre-production to editing. This year, the course focuses on the impact of storytelling and its significance to Pace University and its alumni. Students travel to various locations, including Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire, to conduct interviews, with many already completed locally in New York. The course combines undergraduate and graduate students, providing a diverse skill set for the demanding production process.
