What's Happening?
The PictureEast Film Festival, organized by The New Black Film Collective, is set to take place from January 20 to February 1, 2026, in East London. The festival will showcase over 20 feature films, including
'My Father's Shadow' directed by Akinola Davies Jr., and 'Wasteman' starring David Jonsson. The event aims to highlight diverse stories and provide a platform for marginalized creatives. Supported by Film London's Spotlight programme, PictureEast will also include panel discussions and short film screenings.
