JA Solar, now rebranded as JA, has set a new record for back-contact (BC) solar cell efficiency, achieving a certified conversion efficiency of 28.2%. This milestone was verified by TÜV Rheinland and was accomplished using HyperGen technology, developed
in collaboration with Golden Stone Energy. The breakthrough combines hybrid back-contact technology with heterojunction passivation structures and tunneling oxide passivated contact technology. This innovation aims to enhance energy conversion efficiency while simplifying manufacturing processes.
