What's Happening?
The Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE) has announced the launch of the Chamber AI Mastery Program, a three-month professional development initiative aimed at Chamber of Commerce professionals. This program, developed in partnership with the Tourism AI Network and NextGen Destination Marketing, is designed to help chamber leaders and their staff understand and implement artificial intelligence tools in their operations. The program will begin in April 2026 and includes monthly virtual learning classes through two tracks: the Leader’s Track and the Do’er Track. These sessions will cover topics such as AI fundamentals, advanced applications in chamber operations, and leadership strategies for AI adoption. The initiative aims to provide
chamber professionals with practical skills to enhance their effectiveness and support local business communities.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of the Chamber AI Mastery Program is significant as it addresses the growing need for chamber professionals to stay ahead of technological trends, particularly in artificial intelligence. By equipping chamber leaders with AI skills, the program enhances their ability to support local businesses and adapt to the rapidly changing technological landscape. This initiative not only empowers chamber professionals but also positions them as valuable resources for their member companies, fostering innovation and competitiveness in local economies. The collaboration between WACE, Tourism AI Network, and NextGen Destination Marketing highlights the importance of cross-sector partnerships in driving technological literacy and adoption.
What's Next?
As the Chamber AI Mastery Program rolls out, chamber professionals are encouraged to register early due to limited cohort sizes. The program's success could lead to further expansion and adaptation of AI training initiatives across other regions and sectors. Stakeholders, including chamber leaders and local businesses, may begin to see tangible benefits from the program as participants apply their new skills to real-world challenges. The ongoing collaboration between WACE and its partners may also inspire similar initiatives in other professional associations, promoting widespread AI literacy and innovation.
