What's Happening?
EnBW, a leading energy company, and XCharge, a manufacturer of charging infrastructure, have entered into a long-term partnership to enhance the fast-charging network in Germany. The agreement, signed on February 24, 2026, focuses on providing reliable
charging stations with high performance and developing hardware and software collaboratively. This partnership is based on a successful two-year field test involving XCharge's C7 Ultra-Fast Chargers, which have been operational at various EnBW locations since December 2025. The chargers, capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power, have demonstrated reliability in over 20,000 charging processes. EnBW aims to expand its fast-charging network, which currently includes more than 8,000 fast-charging points, to 20,000 by 2030.
