Ikea, through its parent company Ingka Group, is piloting a new retail strategy by introducing store-in-store concepts with third-party retailers across Europe. The first of these initiatives will see French sporting goods retailer Decathlon opening a standalone
unit within the Ikea store in Croydon, London. This marks the first time Ikea will host another global brand within its premises. The move is part of Ikea's strategy to make its stores more relevant and convenient for customers by offering a wider range of products and services. Similar partnerships are being explored in Austria and Sweden, with plans to revamp existing stores to accommodate other retailers.
