The Aurum 1006 km endurance race in Lithuania is a unique event that transforms a highway interchange into a challenging race track. Held annually since 2000 near the resort town of Palanga, the race covers 1006 kilometers, equivalent to 625 miles, and
includes 373 laps. The course utilizes parts of the A11 and A13 highways, featuring U-turns and barrel-mounted chicanes. The race attracts up to 60 cars, including GT3 vehicles, and is known for its character and lack of FIA Grade 1 certification. Thousands of fans line the highway to watch the event, which has seen Porsches win 15 times.
