What's Happening?
Joey Ingram has been appointed as the executive chef at Crystalbrook Kingsley's rooftop restaurant, Roundhouse. Ingram, who has over 24 years of experience in Michelin-starred kitchens in Paris and renowned Australian restaurants, is known for his refined,
produce-driven approach to cooking. His appointment coincides with the restaurant's transition to an à la carte menu. Ingram will also oversee the culinary direction at other Crystalbrook Kingsley venues, including Romberg's and Ms Mary. His focus is on using local and seasonal produce to create dishes that are both visually appealing and comforting. Ingram's leadership is expected to strengthen the hotel's culinary offerings, alongside Josh Gregory, the new head chef and former owner of Thermidor Restaurant.
Why It's Important?
Ingram's appointment is significant for Crystalbrook Kingsley as it aims to enhance its culinary reputation and attract more guests. By focusing on local and seasonal ingredients, the restaurant can offer a unique dining experience that reflects the region's culture and produce. This approach not only supports local farmers and producers but also aligns with the growing consumer demand for sustainable and locally-sourced food. Ingram's extensive experience in high-end kitchens is likely to elevate the hotel's dining offerings, potentially increasing its appeal to both local and international visitors.
