AEG Presents, a major live entertainment company, has announced plans to take over the venue space currently occupied by Emo’s in Austin, Texas. The venue, located at 2015 E. Riverside, will undergo significant upgrades to its sound system, lighting,
bars, and dressing rooms before reopening under a new name in February 2027. This move is part of a larger development project by Presidium, which includes a 4,000-capacity venue. Emo’s, a staple in Austin’s music scene since 1992, will relocate to a new downtown location that aims to blend its punk rock heritage with modern amenities.
