What's Happening?
Cade Arrambide, a sophomore catcher for LSU, has been named the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Week by the College Baseball Foundation. Arrambide achieved this honor following an outstanding performance in a series against Tennessee,
where he batted .600 with four home runs, eight RBIs, and a .692 on-base percentage. His remarkable feat included setting a school record by hitting four home runs in a single game, leading LSU to a 16-6 victory. This achievement also made him the fourth player in SEC history to hit four homers in one game.
Why It's Important?
Arrambide's performance not only highlights his individual talent but also boosts LSU's standing in collegiate baseball. His ability to deliver under pressure and set records can inspire his teammates and elevate the team's overall performance.
