What's Happening?
Made Scientific, a U.S.-based cell therapy contract development and manufacturing organization, has partnered with Pluristyx to integrate their clinical-grade induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) platform into Made Scientific's services. This strategic
partnership aims to provide a single-source path from cell line development to commercial supply for global cell and gene therapy innovators. The collaboration will enable the use of Pluristyx's GMP iPSC lines and derivative cell types, such as induced natural killer cells and induced mesenchymal stem cells, in Made Scientific's end-to-end CDMO offering.
Why It's Important?
The partnership between Made Scientific and Pluristyx represents a significant advancement in the field of cell therapy. By providing a streamlined and integrated approach to iPSC-derived cell therapy development and manufacturing, the collaboration addresses key challenges in the industry, such as the availability and quality of iPSC starting material. This can lead to more efficient and cost-effective manufacturing outcomes, ultimately accelerating the development of next-generation cell therapies. The partnership also highlights the growing demand for iPSC-derived therapies and the importance of regulatory compliance in bringing these therapies to market.
