What's Happening?
The NHL, NHLPA, and SAP, with support from the Sharks Foundation, have announced the finalists for the San Jose Hockey Innovation Competition. This event, set to take place on June 1, 2026, at the SAP Center,
challenges students to develop innovative solutions to expand hockey's reach and enhance community engagement. The competition attracted over 150 students from 14 colleges across California, focusing on themes such as youth wellness, inclusivity, and community connection. Six finalist teams will present their ideas to a panel of industry leaders, showcasing projects that leverage technology and creativity to make hockey more accessible and engaging.
