Lance Simpson, a redshirt senior from Tennessee, has earned an exemption to the PGA TOUR Americas through the PGA TOUR University membership pathway. This achievement follows his eighth-place finish in the NCAA championships held at Omni La Costa in Carlsbad,
California. Simpson concluded the season ranked 11th among the nation's seniors, which qualified him for this exemption. The PGA TOUR University ranks players based on their performance over the last two years of their college careers, considering results from NCAA Division I team competitions, official PGA TOUR Tournaments, and select DP World Tour events. This ranking system is in partnership with the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Simpson will join former Tennessee players Jake Hall and Hunter Wolcott on the PGA TOUR Americas, while another former Vol, Bryce Lewis, has advanced to the Korn Ferry Tour.
