What's Happening?
The Nashua Public Library is organizing a Summer Reading Kick-off Party to celebrate the beginning of the summer reading season. The event, themed 'Plant a Seed, Read,' will take place on the library's plaza and is designed to offer a variety of free
activities and entertainment suitable for all ages. Attendees can enjoy a bounce house, an inflatable corn maze, and free Sub Zero ice cream with a dairy-free option, along with popcorn. The event will also feature live music by the 90s cover band Straightjacket. Craft stations will be available for creating painted mini pots and flower-pressed bookmarks. Additionally, there will be a 'Dig into Gardening' activity booth where participants can start a small herb garden to take home. A plant clipping swap and lawn games are also part of the festivities. Library staff will be present to assist with registration for the summer reading challenge, which can also be done online starting June 1. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Nashua Public Library.
