What's Happening?
Kaylyn 'KK' Alves, a 14-year-old Dodgers fan diagnosed with epilepsy, experienced a memorable day at Dodger Stadium through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her wish, the 1,000th granted since the foundation's partnership with Fanatics, included throwing the first
pitch to her favorite player, Freddie Freeman, and participating in a sunflower seed celebration with Teoscar Hernández. KK's visit also featured a tour, field passes for batting practice, and personal time with Freeman.
Why It's Important?
This milestone event highlights the impact of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in providing life-changing experiences for children with critical illnesses. By partnering with organizations like Fanatics and sports teams, the foundation creates opportunities for children to meet their heroes and enjoy unforgettable moments. Such initiatives not only bring joy to the children and their families but also raise awareness about the foundation's mission and the importance of supporting those in need.
