Meta Platforms has entered into an agreement with Noon Energy to secure up to 1 GW/100 GWh of energy storage capacity. The initial phase involves a 25-MW/2.5-GWh project, expected to be completed by 2028. This partnership aims to support Meta's strategy
to enhance its artificial intelligence infrastructure by ensuring a stable energy supply from renewable resources. Noon Energy's technology, which uses modular, reversible solid oxide fuel cells, allows for energy storage and discharge over multi-day periods, providing consistent clean energy even when renewable generation is low.
