Wildcat Discovery Technologies and Energy Exploration Technologies (EnergyX) have announced plans to develop a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode manufacturing facility in Hooks, Texas. The facility, located near EnergyX's Project Lonestar lithium plant,
aims to produce 15,000 tonnes of LFP cathode material annually. The project, with an investment exceeding $230 million, is expected to create significant employment opportunities and contribute to reducing U.S. dependency on foreign supply of essential battery components.
