What's Happening?
Culinary students at City College of San Francisco are transforming classroom lessons into practical experience through the college's culinary arts program. The program features a working campus restaurant, The Chef's Table, where students prepare and
serve gourmet-style dishes to the public. Anthony Calvo, a second-semester student, is using the program to shape his vision of opening a restaurant that blends his Mexican, Salvadorian, and Asian influences. Under the guidance of instructor Malik Francis, the curriculum emphasizes not only cooking techniques but also leadership and personal growth. Students are encouraged to translate their culinary interests into viable business opportunities, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for future success.
