ZCCM Investment Holdings (ZCCM-IH), a state-owned mineral and energy investment company in Zambia, has partnered with the Wonderful Group of Companies to invest $30 million in reviving the Ndola Lime production facility. The joint venture aims to restore
production at one of the Copperbelt's oldest industrial operations, which has been inactive since 2018 due to operational difficulties. The partnership plans to install new technology and scale up production to support Zambia's mining industry and the broader industrial revival in Ndola. The project will be executed in three phases, starting with the construction of a lime production plant, followed by either a cement processing plant or a second lime production plant, and further expansion based on market conditions.
