A recent study by InStride highlights the significant impact of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)-led AI workforce strategies on training effectiveness. The research, which surveyed 100 HR, L&D, and executive leaders from organizations with over 3,000
employees, found that companies with CHRO-led strategies reported a 54% effectiveness in AI training. This is more than double the 21% effectiveness reported in organizations where Chief Information Officers (CIO) or Chief Technology Officers (CTO) lead the AI workforce strategy. Despite these findings, only 13% of enterprise organizations currently have a CHRO leading their AI workforce strategy. The study also noted that leadership alignment is crucial, as organizations citing leadership disconnects reported only 8% effectiveness in AI training. Additionally, the research emphasized the importance of facilitated training programs, which showed a 40% effectiveness compared to 13% for self-paced programs.
