Brookfield Asset Management has been awarded the 10th Annual Asset Management Achievement Award by HAMA Europe for its Moxy Barcelona project. The award was announced at the IHIF EMEA conference in Berlin. Brookfield acquired the 414-key Expo Hotel Barcelona in September
2021 and undertook a €28 million renovation, rebranding it under Marriott International’s Moxy brand in October 2024. The refurbishment included a complete overhaul of guestrooms, public areas, and the addition of a new rooftop restaurant. This project significantly increased the asset's value over four years, showcasing Brookfield's holistic approach to asset management and value creation.
