Telefónica has announced that it successfully reused or recycled 95% of the waste generated across its operations in 2025, as part of its sustainability strategy aimed at achieving zero waste by 2030. The company managed over four million devices from
customers, network operations, and offices under its reuse and recycling programs. Approximately 75% of collected electronic devices were reused, while the remaining 25% were recycled. Telefónica's initiatives included the reuse of around three million routers and set-top boxes, reducing the need for new hardware production and lowering carbon emissions. The company also met an industry commitment to reuse or recycle 100% of collected network equipment, and collected nearly 95 tonnes of mobile devices, reusing more than 357,000 handsets.
