The Toronto Blue Jays have activated outfielder and designated hitter George Springer from the 10-day injured list. Springer, who has been recovering from a broken left big toe since April 11, was not included in the starting lineup for the series finale

To make room for Springer on the roster, the Blue Jays designated first baseman and outfielder Eloy Jimenez for assignment. Jimenez, in his first season with the Blue Jays, has a batting average of .290 with three RBIs in 12 games.
