What's Happening?
Thomson Reuters has partnered with Hotshot, a legal training platform, to provide practical legal training to law students. This collaboration aims to prepare students for summer jobs and future professional experiences by offering courses on AI foundations,
professionalism, business skills, civil litigation basics, and transactional practice. The courses are available free of charge to over 120,000 law students in the U.S. with existing access to Thomson Reuters Westlaw.
Why It's Important?
This partnership is significant as it addresses the growing demand for legal professionals who are proficient in AI technologies. By integrating AI tools into legal education, Thomson Reuters and Hotshot are equipping students with the skills necessary to succeed in a technology-driven legal environment. This initiative not only enhances the employability of law graduates but also ensures that the legal industry can adapt to technological advancements. As AI continues to reshape the legal landscape, such collaborations are crucial for preparing the next generation of legal professionals.
