What's Happening?
Canada Carbon Inc. has successfully completed its third drilling campaign on the Asbury Graphite Property in Quebec. The campaign, which ran from November 4 to December 10, 2025, covered 2,517 meters of the planned 5,200 meters across the property's mineralization trend. This effort adds to previous campaigns conducted in 2022 and 2023, bringing the total to over 7,500 meters of core samples. The data collected will be used to update the company's NI 43-101 resource report and complete a pre-feasibility study by June 30, 2026. The Asbury project, a former graphite mining site, has shown promising results, with high-grade graphite concentrations reported in previous drilling efforts.
Why It's Important?
The completion of this drilling campaign is a significant step
for Canada Carbon as it seeks to advance the Asbury project. The project's success could bolster the local economy and align with Quebec's strategic goals to develop critical mineral resources. High-quality graphite is essential for various industries, including electronics and renewable energy, making this project potentially valuable for both local and broader markets. The company's efforts to de-risk the project through extensive drilling and resource estimation are crucial for attracting investment and moving towards production.
What's Next?
Canada Carbon plans to use the drilling data to update its resource estimates and complete a pre-feasibility study by mid-2026. This will provide a clearer picture of the project's commercial viability and help secure further investment. The company is also likely to engage with local stakeholders and government bodies to ensure alignment with regional development goals. As the project progresses, potential partnerships or joint ventures could emerge, further enhancing its prospects.
