General Motors (GM) has introduced the Energy Pass, a new initiative designed to streamline access to electric vehicle (EV) charging networks. The Energy Pass will cover over 70% of the national DC fast-charging grid, including major networks like IONNA,
Electrify America, and Tesla Superchargers. This initiative allows EV owners to use a single account for multiple charging networks, simplifying the charging process. Additionally, GM plans to enhance its Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capabilities, enabling EVs to serve as power sources during outages, and is testing Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology to balance energy supply.
