SWISSto12, a satellite product manufacturer, has opened a new 1,000 sqm ISO Class 8 cleanroom facility in Renens, Switzerland, in collaboration with Rosin Group. This facility marks a significant expansion of SWISSto12's satellite manufacturing capabilities,
establishing the country's first domestic production site for geostationary satellites. The cleanroom is designed for the industrial-scale assembly of the HummingSat platform, a compact satellite that utilizes 3D printing technology to reduce manufacturing time and costs. The expansion is supported by a €73 million investment from the European Space Agency, highlighting institutional backing for SWISSto12's technology and commercial strategy.
