Dartford Borough Council has announced plans for a £30 million redevelopment project in the town center, which will include the construction of 69 homes and commercial spaces. The project, part of the Westgate Village development, aims to transform the former
Co-op site on Spital Street. The development will feature seven blocks of housing, with 20% designated as affordable housing, and approximately 2,050 square meters of commercial space. The council has appointed Peter Barber Architects to advance the design, with construction expected to begin in late 2026 and conclude by 2030.
