What's Happening?
ASCO has won a series of new contracts in Australia, totaling $33.2 million AUD, to expand its role in offshore decommissioning, gas development, and logistics support services. The contracts cover multiple service lines, including environmental services,
supply base operations, and camp management. ASCO will support a decommissioning project off Western Australia's northwest coast, providing Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) services. In Darwin, ASCO has secured logistics and marine services scopes tied to industrial and offshore activity, including support for a float-over project in the Browse basin. Additionally, ASCO will deliver camp and accommodation services at the Waitsia gas plant in the Perth basin.
Why It's Important?
These contract wins reinforce ASCO's position as a key support provider to energy projects across Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The contracts highlight the ongoing demand for logistics and operational support in the region, as offshore decommissioning and gas development activities continue to advance. ASCO's expanded role could lead to increased revenue and strengthen its market presence in Australia. The company's ability to deliver integrated solutions from planning through to execution positions it as a valuable partner in the energy sector, potentially attracting further business opportunities.
