The 2026 Cannes Film Festival has unveiled its lineup for the 79th edition, set to take place from May 12 to May 23. Artistic director Thierry Frémaux and president Iris Knobloch announced the selection during a press conference in Paris. The festival
will open with Pierre Salvadori's film 'La Vénus électrique,' a romantic comedy set in the 1920s. The event will also feature the world premiere of John Travolta's directorial debut, 'Propeller One-Way Night Coach.' South Korean director Park Chan-wook will preside over the jury, which will award the prestigious Palme d'Or. Additionally, Peter Jackson will receive an honorary Palme d'Or for his contributions to cinema.
