who overcame Lackawanna Trail 8-2. In the AAAA Finals, Wyoming Area defeated Hanover Area 6-2 and will face the Mid Valley Spartans, who triumphed over Crestwood 12-4. District 2 witnessed Wilkes-Barre Area upsetting Williamsport 5-2 in extra innings, while Hazleton Area Cougars shut out Wyoming Valley West 8-0 to reach the 6A Finals. In 5A, Pittston Area held off Abington Heights 6-2, and Dallas edged out Wallenpaupack 2-1 with a late score. District 4 saw Benton upset Cowanesque Valley 6-4 to claim the 1A title, and in 4A, Warrior Run and Mifflinburg both secured upset victories to meet in the finals. In softball, Montrose dominated Elk Lake 11-1 and will face Dunmore, who narrowly defeated Holy Redeemer 8-7.
