Japanese fashion brand Issey Miyake is set to open a new flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City on May 8. The store will be located in the historic New York Life Building and will span 13,000 square feet. Designed by architecture firm Solid
Objectives Idenburg Liu, the store will feature a transparent staircase and expansive windows offering views of Madison Square Park. The interior will include elements from the brand's recently closed TriBeCa location, such as glass wall panels repurposed as tables. A dedicated gallery space named Mado will host exhibitions and collaborations, marking the first such space outside Japan.
