Grand Traverse Pie Company, in collaboration with Pure Michigan, has introduced a new dessert called Fresh Coast Pie to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pure Michigan. This specialty pie features Montmorency
tart cherries, Northern Spy apples, and Rubel blueberries sourced from various orchards across Michigan. The pie is topped with a Fresh Coast Oat Crumb Topping and is available in two sizes from April 7 through September. This initiative not only highlights Michigan's rich agricultural heritage but also supports early childhood development through the Mi Kids Matter program, which is backed by the Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential Office of Great Start. The collaboration marks the third year of partnership between the pie company, Pure Michigan, and Mi Kids Matter.
