The Silverado EV has been tested for its real-world towing capabilities with a medium to large travel trailer. The electric vehicle (EV) was put through its paces to ensure a safe and reliable towing experience,
particularly for family RV trips. The testing involved checking the vehicle's stability, range, and efficiency while towing. The Silverado EV, equipped with a 170 kWh battery pack, demonstrated excellent stability and power, making it suitable for towing despite its limited range compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) trucks. The vehicle's performance was tested over a 130-mile route, achieving 0.9 miles per kWh.
